Hitting and Aggression

in Young Children

A workshop for parents who want to better understand their child’s aggression and learn how to responded in a safe and connected way.

Your little one just became a toddler and all of a sudden…they’re hitting, kicking, pushing you away, falling to the ground and throwing toys. You’re wondering if you have a little terror on your hands, or, if this is just normal toddler behavior? You’re also questioning:

  • If this is normal, how much of it is normal? Certainly there’s a limit.

  • Do I need to punish this? Does this call for a time-out?

  • How the heck do I stay connected with a child who is actively trying to hurt me?

  • What can I do to get them to stop this?

  • How do I set boundaries in a way that keeps everyone safe?

If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place!

The Hitting and Aggression Workshop is now OPEN!

Who’s this for?

  • Have noticed their little ones hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, throwing, and/or spitting

  • Want to better understand why this behavior is happening and if it’s normal

  • Want tools to mitigate the behavior and catch it before it escalates

  • Want to know how to set age appropriate boundaries

  • Want to respond in a connected way that keeps both them, their child, and others in the home safe

FAQ

  • This workshop is taking place LIVE on April 24th at 11am PST. There will be a recording automatically generated and sent out within the first few hours after the live event has concluded. You will have access to this recording for 30 days.

  • It’s hard to say exactly as you never know how the presentation will go, however, I am planning for it to be around 1.5-2 hours, including the Q&A.

  • My specialty is children ages 0-5 (or even 6ish), so this is the lens I am working from. However, since this workshop is focused primarily on caregiver regulation and reflection, these tools can absolutely apply to parents of older children. Please be aware that the examples may focus on children in the 0-5 age range.

  • Pre-sale is a special launch period that celebrates the readiness and confidence of the first customers. The pre-sale customers will attend the same workshop as those who purchase after pre-sale. They will just get a special discount!

  • Nobody will be on camera except Michelle (the presenter). All viewers will communicate via chat!

  • This workshop, for one, is shorter than a whole course. This workshop should be around 1.5-2 hours, where courses range from 4-20 hours.

This workshop will do a deep focus on the caregiver themselves and will not include a deep dive into child development and other child-focused topics, other than insights that are relevant to the parent-related information.

  • Due to the nature of this workshop, there will not be any refunds. However, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Michelle at michelle@babiesandbrains.com.

  • Please be aware that this workshop is not intended to replace professional medical or mental health treatment. This is not meant to be a replacement for therapy, psychiatric care, medication, etc. This workshop is intended to be used for self-help purposes only. This means that the individual is aware that they will need to be in a place where they can implement what they learn on their own. While this workshop may provide helpful tools and insights to those struggling, this may not be the only form of support you need. Please reach out to your individual care team if you have serious concerns and need more support.

I’m Michelle! I created Babies and Brains because it is my mission to take my experience and knowledge in birth to five mental health and make it accessible to families around the globe. There are enough confusing myths floating around online, among family members, friends, etc, that only add more anxiety to parenting. I am here to help parents build a confidence that they can access within through a relaxed and relatable approach.

I don’t see myself as the expert. The only expert on your child is you. I’m not here to teach you THE way. I’m here to help you find your way.

I’m sure we’ve probably met, but just in case…
